Warning: Please use extra caution when using with horned animals or horses with blankets or non-breakaway halters. When using the smaller nets with shod horses, make sure to hang it high enough so the horse cannot paw at it.

Take control of your small square bales and get up to 94% of hay out of every bale with the Small Bale Cinch Net! With less hay waste, you'll save both time and money. The Small Bale Cinch Net will fit 2-string bales up to 70 lbs. Use it on the ground in your pasture or stall (with non-shod horses) or throw it in a feeder to keep is off the ground and for use with shod horses.

Ideal for:
Use in the field, pasture, paddock or with a feeder.

The Original (1 3/4") opening size is good for horses that haven't used a slow feed net before. It's great for slowing down horses that eat fast, are generally healthy, but waste too much hay.

The SF/Slow Feed (1 1/4")
opening size is good for horses that doen't get enough exercise or are metabolic. Very easy keepers who have used slow feed nets before do well on this net level. Also works well as a pacifier for stall-bound horses.

The SFX/Slow Feed Extreme (1") opening size is good for use with miniature horses or horses with metabolic issues. Do not use this opening size if your horses have not used slow feed nets before as it can be very frustrating for your horse. You can start your horse on a larger opening size and transition them to the SFX.

The Original (1 3/4") HEAVY DUTY opening size is good for more aggressive eaters and a larger herd. Also good for horses that haven't used a slow feed net before. It's great for slowing down horses that eat fast, are generally healthy, but waste too much hay.

$43 for peace of mind February 8, 2016

I recently brought my horses from a boarding facility to my own barn. I was astonished at the amount of wasted hay my horses made in a day and how fast they went through the hay that I put out in the morning. I tried a water trough style feeder but they quickly nosed the hay right out and stomped/soiled whatever they didn't scarf down. The way I use my Hay Chix net is as follows: I drilled holes in the bottom corners of a 50 gal water trough, fixed an eye bolt to each corner and added a double sided snap, stuffed the hay net as instructed and attached it to the trough with the snaps. The trough was then affixed to the fence or run in (it's moveable depending on weather) with double snaps/eye bolts/short pieces of rope. Wow! What a fix! AND my food aggressive mare has relaxed knowing that there is always food available. No more angry meal time and she seems to be better at sharing with her "sister". Really happy with my purchase! Definitely recommend!

Best Product Everrrr! October 21, 2015

I have two of these, and getting ready to order another, I bought my first one over a year ago and honestly it's still in great shape. Have not had to replace the cinch string at all, and I have 2 geldings and a mini who eat off just one and no holes or tears. These are very sturdy. I put my square bale in a cow feeder, tie it to a tree, and then also bungee cord both ends to they can't drag it around...with this net I am only going thru one bale every other day with 2.5 equines eating from it. Highly recommended. :)

I love them! December 16, 2014

I had been on the fence for a long time, I had a situation where in the winter I was out loading hay bags 3 times a day, yuck!  So when we moved into a new situation I decided I needed to try your nets.  I bought 2 of them and I can't tell you what a relief it is to know if I load them in the evening, my horses will have hay to munch till the next evening so I don't have to be out at 5 am when it is 20 degrees.  Of course I still go out at 7 just to check on them!  Can't help myself.  As an aside they wonderfully came with red white and blue tie straps!  How did you know we were a military family and would love that color scheme?  Awesome, I'll be ordering another soon so each horse has their own!

LOVE IT! March 6, 2014

I love my cinch chix nets!!!  I drive truck and am home every other day.  My nets mean that I can feed my horses and they have plenty of hay until I come back.  In the past I have had very aggressive horses at feeding time because they would eat all of their hay in a couple of hours.   I have the SF nets.  My gelding loves it now that he is used to it.  I came back today to order a couple of cinch strings because my baby got bored and chewed hers all up.  The nets themselves have not been torn up yet and I have been using them for over a month already.  I devised a way to tie them up top and bottom in my feeders so that they can't throw them out of the feeders and it is working great!!!   Highly recommend!
